The New Car

Yup, we did it!! We finally bought a new car!

Lisa and i have been talking about getting a new car for quite a while now. The little Nissan was just getting too small for our family. It was 14 years old and falling apart. After going around and around in circles for the past couple of months, we finally settled on the Honda CR-V EX 4WD. It’s classified as a crossover SUV.

I wasn’t looking forward to going to the dealerships and dealing with the scumbag car dealers then i realized that in this day and age, i didn’t have to!! I created an email address and sent out requests to 5 different dealers. In no time at all, i got some quotes. Some good and some not so good.

Last Friday i was a little sick so i took the day off work. After downing some DayQuil i decided that we should go do a test drive. We loved it!! I do have to say that the car dealers are super sneaky and unless you buy cars all the time, you wouldn’t realize it until way later. Oh well, i think we got a good deal anyway.

Once we decided to buy the car, IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP!!! Sienna was getting tired. She was so good but i didn’t expect to be there almost all day.

We got the “green tea” green with the tan interior. It looks really nice. I’m just a bit nervous at the Sienna spillage factor but oh well we’ll deal with it when it happens.

Now all i want to do is take a road trip. With the amount of money we spent, that’s exactly what we’ll have to do for vacation this year. I don’t think we’ll be flying anywhere anytime soon.

  1. Wow, congrats on the nice new addition to the family! Can’t say I’m surprised about the sneaky nature of the car dealers though. They’re salesmen, so what do they know about ethics? They just want your money! Lol.
